Dublin Theatre Festival
The Ulster Bank Dublin theatre festival is one of the best cultural festivals on the European calendar and it will take place from 30 September – 17 October 2010. More details will be announced in July.

Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show
On eof the great Dublin events, this year it takes place from 04 August 2010 to 08 august 2010. The venue as usual is the RDS in Ballsbridge and apart from international show jumping, visitors can enjoy shopping, crafst, exhibitions, live music, Ladies Day, and entertainment for the kids. It is well worth a visit.

GAA All Ireland Football and Hurling Finals
September is the best month of the year for GAA football and hurling fans, and Croke Park in Dublin is the place to be to experience the excitment and unique atmosphere of “Final Day”. The hurling final is the first Sunday in September and the football final is on the third Sunday in September.

Rugby International – Ireland v South Africa
The world champions are coming to town in November2010 and Ireland’s rugby captain Brian O’Driscoll and the rest of the squad will be giving them a “warm” welcome. This match will be held in Dublin’s newest stadium, the Aviva Stadium in Lansdowne Road and rugby fans all across Ireland will be hoping it will usher in a new era of success for Irish Rugby.

National Museum of Ireland
The Decorative Arts & History of Ireland are on display at Collins Barracks in Benburb Strret in Dublin. It is home to a huge collection of weaponry, silver, furniture, ceramics and glassware. There are historical exhibits that deal with the Repeal movment, the Land War, Easter Week 1916 and political developments. There are over 2000 itmes in the costume collection dating from the 18th century to the present day. The military history collection features uniforms from the 1780′s onwards.

The Point Village Market
The Point Village Market is Dublin’s newest market and is located beside the O2 arena in the the newly renovated Point Village. There are stalls selling modern and vintage fashion, Toys, DVDs and even bicycle parts. The Farmers market gives you the opportunity to buy fresh local produce and it will be hard to resist some of the delicious freshly made bakery items. The market also features music events and street theatre from time to time. It is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM. An 850 space car park is opening in late summer 2010. There is a new Luas line operating from the city centre and Dublin Bus # 151 operates from O’Connell Bridge to Castleforbes Road, which is two minutes walk from the market.
